All Ingredients are Natural

Our African black soap is handmade in Ghana, Africa.
It is primarily used to heal & treat troubled skin of all types.
It may help with fine wrinkles, psoriasis, dark spots, eczema, razor bumps, clearing blemishes, acne scars, and rashes.
In addition, it can be used as a light exfoliator on the body.
Black Soap can also be used in hair to treat scalp irritations.

Oily Skin

African black soap is a miracle product for oily and acne-prone skin. African black soap works well for deep pore cleansing because of its natural exfoliation qualities.
Also, it seems to keep the skin hydrated for some oily skin types without increasing oil production.
No matter how oily your skin is, it would be best to moisturize afterward with a non-comedogenic oil like Aroma Depot’s Virgin Coconut Oil.
Our 100% natural butter, such as African Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, or Kokum Butter, will be the perfect moisturizer for your skin after cleaning it with African Black Soap.

How does black soap help with acne?

This black soap effectively eliminates makeup, although it should not be used to remove eye makeup.
Its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties gently cleanse the skin profoundly cleansing.
By incorporating ash in your soap, you naturally exfoliate your skin and clear your pores of excess oil, sebum, and debris without overdrying on your skin.
It must be necessary because drying your skin will produce more oil and sebum.
The skin is smooth and hydrated with Aroma Depot’s Shea butter or our Coconut Oil.

Other black soap brands can be too drying.

We use the right combination of natural ingredients to keep your skin soft and smooth while locking in moisture. The good thing about black soap is that it can clear acne while still gentle enough for all skin types. Our products are enriched with shea butter, which has high anti-inflammatory and skin-calming properties. It would help if you were patient when using black soap, as the results can take a few weeks. Some people may experience a pore-cleansing effect as the soap detoxifies the skin. In the beginning, you may experience breakouts, but eventually, your skin will become soft and glowing.
With Aloe, you can relieve acne and irritated skin and provide moisture to your skin without clogging your pores.

Natural Exfoliation

Due to its exfoliating properties, African black soap deep cleans without scrubbing.
Don’t rub the skin with raw black soap, especially if it is delicate.
Before applying the soap to your face, lather it in your hands first.
Granules of ash and other debris in the soap may not dissolve as quickly as they should and could scratch the skin.

Can you shower with African black soap?

Use African Raw Black Soap to bathe, shower, and wash your hands, hair, and face.
To achieve the best results, use hot water as hot as possible (optional) with a washcloth or loofah to scrub the area.
After washing, apply Aroma Depot’s unrefined shea butter or natural oil as a moisturizer.

Reactions to African Black Soap

Consult your dermatologist if you develop a rash or dermatitis after using the product.
If you are allergic to latex, you may suffer from latex-fruit syndrome and develop a reaction to the plantain ash in black soap and palm and coconut oils.
Also, be aware of the possible presence of high cocoa pods, which make the soap ash, if you have a chocolate allergy or are sensitive to caffeine.

Before You Toss That Soap

The surface of black soap (Bar or Paste) can develop a thin, white film if exposed to air.

The film is not a sign of mold.

To make it easy to use daily and prevent the white film from developing, you might cut off a piece of the bar or roll it into small balls and store it in a Ziploc bag.
When buying soap in bulk or by the pound, cut off a piece and keep the rest in a cool, dry place.
Place the soap in a plastic bag and wrap it in a Ziploc bag to keep it fresh.

Strength Between Bar, Paste, or Liquid?

The BAR is raw, making it very strong for sensitive skin.
The PASTE is less intense than the bar.
LIQUID is not as strong as all of them.
The liquid black soap is recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Test a small area first to ensure you won’t develop an allergic reaction.

Cocoa, Mango, Mancoshea blend, and Kokum butters are also available.
